  1. This is a wonderful look into a country and way of life that we in the west rarely get to see. Nafisi tells the story of how she connected with a group of young women over Western novels, such as Lolita and Pride and Prejudice, during the 1980s in Iran, a time and place not known for openness.

    A book that will appeal to avid readers, people interested in learning about other cultures, and the role of women in the Middle East.
