Amazing. A Gothic and at times fantastic journey through post-Civil War Barcelona. It follows the main character, Daniel, as he strives to protect a book that he found in the Cemetery of Forgotten Books. Someone has been destroying every copy of the book, and Daniel must learn why, as he is swept up in the events that follow.
ReplyDeleteI too was swept up in the storytelling and atmosphere of the novel. It is dark at times, and even frightening, but there are rays of hope and light throughout.
