I an everyone in my book club thought that the Bachelor Brothers' Bed and Breakfast Pillow Book, the second book in the series, was far more enjoyable and meaningful to those who had read and enjoyed the FIRST book, The Bachelor Brothers' Bed and Breakfast Book. The first book was a better all around book, and I would only recommend the "Pillow Book" to those who have already read and enjoyed the first one.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed some aspects of BBB&BPB. I thought that by trying to put a "plot" into the book, the author made a mistake. While I like the wimsey and understand that "logic" doesn't really count in this book, the part where a character disapears and is reputed to have been magiced off to become the consort to the King of the Weasels was rather too weird to be swallowed!
I feel that readers of this book should know that it is the second of a series, and the BB B&B Pillow Book is much more enjoyable to those who have read and enjoyed The Bachelor Brothers' Bed and Breakfast book.
