I still don't know how I feel about this book. It was an amazing look into a life very different from mine, and culture that I know very little about. That was good. The back story of the family was interesting. But I never really felt like I could connect with Oscar as a character, and I know I didn't get a lot of the pop culture references that are sprinkled throughout the book.
